New EU Funding for Q-Cities Network: A big step forward on European quality issues!
Q-Cities Network is pleased to announce the continuation of ÅU funding of its initiatives and activities for the years 2010 and 2011.
Committed to consist a more dynamic trigger of change towards new quality behaviours, values and attitudes, Q-cities aims through this project to address the challenge of unpacking the complexity that often shadows the implementation of quality tools.
Following the funding of the Network's kick-off Quality Conference, in 2007, the new awarded project under the title: "Quality Tools - An open Citizens' Toolbox for Better Quality" focuses on orienting European citizenship towards Quality assurance and improvement in all the aspects of the everyday life. Thus it seeks to bridge various stakeholders (political representatives, quality experts, civil servants, citizens, civil society representatives etc.) under one goal: effective, high quality policies and services at a local, regional and European level.
In this frame, Q-cities will attempt to give a series of strong motives to those wondering "Is the Implementation of Quality Tools of any Value?", enabling all participants to pass from the phase of understanding the quality concept to their active engagement into all the phases of the quality decision-making and implementing process.
