The new "Europe for Citizens" programme of the European Commission is being implemented as of January 1st, 2007 and presents new challenges in the field of town twinning. One of the new features is the emphasis put on thematic networking of twinned towns.
The Commission considers thematic networking as a particularly important development and has organized a working session on this issue. Q-cities was invited to attend the working meeting, taking place in Brussels on the 24th January 2006 at the Centre Albert Borschette.
The meeting agenda and a list of the European networks invited to the consultation are enclosed.
